Memorial Day Weekend Wrap-Up

Perfect weather meant less computer for a lot of folks celebrating Memorial Day… including us. We thought we catch up, and fill you in on, some of the weekend’s mobile stories. Just a heads up - we didn’t miss much!

  • N-Gage to N-Rage back to N-Gage: Nokia’s gaming service suffered an online backlash as word got out purchased games could NOT be transferred to new devices. So if you’re upgrading a phone? Time to start that collection over again. Current phone broke? Tough luck, all your games are wiped out as well. After careful consideration, they claim they are working on a solution and games WILL be transferable. Lets see how long it takes. [Via EngadgetMobile]
  • More Nokia E66 and Nokia E71 pics: these phones have had much more than their fair share of leaks, rumors, photos, spy pics and whatever else you could drum up prior to an official announcement. Nevertheless, these sneaked press shots are as official as anything has gotten thus far. [Via EngadgetMobile]
  • Sidekick Gekko Manual Leaked: How much more info do you need to know that the Sidekick Gekko is “for reals” than pages from the product manual. That’s exactly what was found this weekend! [Via BGR, HipTop3]
  • Palm Treo 850 Specs Leaked: This is one of the more exciting tidbits. The Treo 850 looks pretty hot and a pretty healthy list of specs, including WiFi, should breathe some hope into the few remaining Palm fans. [Via BGR]

The Month of May has treated us fairly well, but lets hope there are a few golden nuggets remaining between now and Saturday, the 31st!
