BlackBerry and iTunes Now BFFs

July 24, 2008 in BlackBerry, Software & Apps

Research In Motion has just launched MediaSync which introduces BlackBerries to iTunes in hopes that they can play nice together. They do… and music fans with a smartphone by BlackBerry will soon find the two to be BFFs.

You can download MediaSync for FREE, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via USB and immediately sync playlists and other assortments of songs directly to your phone. Update the playlist in iTunes? It will also update your BlackBerry next time you connect the two. Depending on your Berry, you might need a MicroSD expansion card to hold your music.

This is a MUCH welcomed application for music lovers. While Berry users have traditionally focused on the business breed, RIM is clearly opening up their expertise to the mass consumers with upcoming flip phones and touchscreen phones. It makes complete sense to open up the capabilities of their phones to appeal these broader markets as well. And who says business people don’t like music, too?

Learn more at the MediaSync page on RIM’s website.

  1. Can't wait to try this with my Curve. Although I'm not a huge fan of iTunes it looks interesting, and is a better solution than using Windows Explorer like I do now.
