Verizon, Sprint To Get HTC Diamond
The HTC Touch Diamond, one of the sickest and best customized Windows Mobile Based Phones devices to date, will be coming to Verizon and Sprint in September/October. We’re going to have a lot of happy CDMA-ers with the details.
We already know that there is touch screen only version of the Diamond and also a full QWERTY slide version that had been dubbed the Touch Pro. Verizon and Sprint will both get each of these… but their naming of the models is much, much different.
Verizon is calling their base model simply “HTC Diamond” and the Touch Pro version is the “HTC Raphael”. Sounds pretty decent. Sprint, however, is naming their base model the HTC Victor and the Touch Pro version will be called the “HTC Herman”. Are you kidding me? Take a completly new, cutting edge product that you claim is ground breaking and slap on a name that sounds more fit for a character on the Adam’s Family.
These could just be internal codenames and even as codenames the word/source isn’t official. BUT if the documents below really are internal Sprint documents then there is little question that above information is spot on:

For a lot of people, the launch date can’t come soon enough. We tend to agree.

What I don't understand is the absence of the Motion G Sensor on the Verizon handsets... It is such a cool feature, and it takes away part of the fun of owning the phone. It means the Verizon phones won't even have the Teeter game... I am still eager to purchase this phone, don't get me wrong, but that's just one thing that I did not feel happy about when i came across this announcement. I hope it will still change before they officially release it.
