Nokia Delivers the N85 and N79

August 25, 2008 in Handsets, Nokia

Nokia had just released two new handsets to add to the N-Series fold, the N85 and N79. Although hardly unexpected, they do carry some strong features, albeit nothing that is really out of the ordinary for Nokia at this point. The N85 stays the N-Series course with a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen, GPS,  5 Megapixel camera, N-Gage compatibility, 8GB of microSDHC storage, WiFi, and 28 hours music playback battery life.

The N79, successor to the N78, also gets a 5MP camera with a dual-LED flash, GPS, 4GB microSDHC storage, WiFi, a 24-hour music playback battery life, and…wait for it… swappable back covers! Thats sooo totally awesome Nokia! Below is yet another fine example of why swappable covers are perhaps not such a great idea. Unless your into barf-lime colours that is.
