Samsung Amigos: 3 Headed to AT&T

October 3, 2008 in AT&T, Handsets, Samsung, Verizon

Samsung has three friends - the A867, Sangria and Mirage - that all seem to be headed to AT&T in the very near future.

The Samsung Sangria is the A767 and is the most consumer driven of the three phones, borrowing much from the i620/i640 but dropping Windows Mobile. It should be out in late October.

The Samsung A867 - nickname unknown - looks like the Omnia from the rear based on FCC photos but appears to be something totally different since it is lacking WiFi support.

And lastly, the Samsung Mirage, which many hoped WOULD be AT&T’s version of the Omnia based on its i907 naming, is actually AT&T’s version of the i780. Oops.

PhoneArena does however drop a bombshell that Verizon will have a version of the Omnia for the holidays. Are you freaking kidding me? For Verizon customers, that has to be exciting…
