All T-Mobile Data Plans To Soon Follow G1 Structure
October 29, 2008 in Service Plans, T-Mobile
It seems that the T-Mobile G1 data plan - $25 for unlimited data and another $10 for unlimited texting - has ushered in a new era of data plans at T-Mobile as a whole. Rumor has it that ALL devices will follow this guideline (including BlackBerries) with a 10GB softcap at which point the user will be throttled back to 50kbps speeds.
On the other hand, “Phone First” devices will go one of two routes:
- 100MB data with unlimited messaging for $19.99/month
- 50MB data with 400 messages $9.99/month
Of course this is all just rumors from TMOnews until confirmation from T-Mobile… which is expected in early November.
