AT&T QuickFire On Sale Early!
The AT&T Quickfire - supposedly an answer to the Sidekick - was initially slated to go on-sale November 10th or 11th. Well, a customer in small, unnamed down somewhere in the United States was able to walk right into an AT&T Corporate Store and purchase it right off the shelves!
They may not be on-sale everywhere yet, but at least one store has them in-stock and available. Here is the Quickfire in that lucky customer’s hands:

The device costs $149.99 after a 2-year contract and $50 rebate. In addition to the slideout QWERTY, its also got a pretty touchscreen, 1.3MP camera, email, TV and navigation capabilities. How many of the people with this phone will be too young to have any use for that navigation? Who knows… this thing seems like the one-size-fits-all type.
