Xperia $799 at BestBuy… Do You Care?

It’s been a long, troubled road from Xperia rumors and announcements to upcoming device launch, mostly due to delay after delay. The initial promise of the product was trumped by a number of quality, high-end devices quickly churning out of competing manufacturers. So with news that the Xperia X1 will be available at BestBuy next month for $799… we ask… Do You Care?

Don’t get us wrong, we still think the Xperia X1 is a hot piece of hardware, but the number of viable and compareable options and alternatives has skyrocketed in even the past 3 months. And it will only grow in the next month of waiting.

Not to mention - in this economy - how many people care about ANYthing that costs $799 - let alone a mobile phone?
