Nokia: We Will Shock The Interwebz

Its going to be a long night for us folks, because at 3:15AM Eastern Standard Time, Nokia will be announcing something big. Something so big that the interwebz never saw it coming. Perhaps the biggest announcement in the history of interwebz that hasn’t been leaked. What is it? The countdown begins.

This clock is counting down to a purported HUGE announcement at the Nokia World Conference in Barcelona, Spain. Nokia execs have supposedly, “bragged that the Internet has no clue what they will announce this week.” The touch screen Nokia? Ha.. not at all.. apparently NOBODY has guessed it right so far. Everyone was busy thinking about the G1, Storm, Touch Pro, Omnia and others that Nokia may just have snuck up successfully.

So let the speculation begin!

A couple points that we’d like to address:

If Nokia announces some cruddy new phone, they’re going to look really bad
Apple’s iPhone OS and Google’s Android OS are heavily threatening Nokia and the Symbian guard who control most of the mobile phone market… they NEED to announce something big to dig their feet in for the mobile OS war that lies ahead
