HTC Releasing 10 Phones In 2009
| by Rob on January 10th, 2009 |
HTC had an amazing 2008. They really propelled themselves to the front of the mobile manufacturing market by launching show stopping devices like the HTC Touch HD, HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch 3G, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1) and more. Now they’re looking to follow up the hype with 10 Phones in 2009.

According to DigiTimes the 10 devices will be based on Windows Mobile and Android, although it is unclear how many of each will be made. One would think that WinMo would get the lion’s share of development but depending on carrier availability you could see 2 or 3 Android units beat out the combined sales of 7 or 8 Windows Mobile units. Android still has a lot of question marks surrounding its growth model so we’ll have to wait and see.
HTC’s innovation paid off as the companies 4th Quarter revenues alone were $47.38 billion, up over 20% compared to 4th Quarter 2007. The company said that sales goals for each device were met. Notice the word “met” and not “exceeded”… for HTC the sky is the limit.
