Part of the challenge of developing mobile devices is creating them to interface with the various technologies that are already embedded in our lives. Our e-mail, instant messaging, calendars, alarm clocks, address books and all jazz. And half of what we mean by interfacing is syncing.

The Palm WebOS aims to tackle this problem with what they call “Synergy” and what others are proclaiming answers the question of “how” by storing data in the cloud.

It’s not a very thorough demonstration, but it does brush the surface and I’m sure we’ll grow to understand Synergy to a more full extent in the weeks to come. And especially when this device hits the market.
