Motorola Admits to TRBL

Overplayed headline? Yeah, we know. But still, not lacking in truth. Motorola has recently admitted to the press that it indeed with be cutting some 4,000 jobs. Yikes. The layoffs will be occurring over the next year, with 3/4 of them coming from the company’s mobile division. Motorola’s newest estimates also look bleak, as the company looks at another drop in share prices before anything can improve.

On the bright side of things, the manufacturer is apparently going to focus on Android for the next little while and hopefully get something out soon. Moto has certainly had some solid (and new) design language as of late so it should be interesting to see if the company can pull itself out of the free fall.
