We’ve got 2 different “Date Rumors” to share with you in regards to the Palm Pre. The first is from a gentlemen named Vyruz Reaper on TreoCentral Forum who claims to have inside information regarding the device release. His source – who was only a day off on the release of the Treo 800w – says that February 15th is the day of Palm Pre reckoning.

There are a bunch of reasons to be skeptical of this date:

• Nothing in the FCC
• Mojo SDK and development for Palm WebOS has been private and chances are Palm would want to launch with some sort of developer following established
• Palm said 1st Half 2009 which usually, in this industry, is a polite way of saying 2nd Quarter while still keeping analysts and bloggers on their toes with buzz

And as for the second date rumor, the Palm Pre may be a good way to GET a date as it has been named the Gadget Most Likely To Get You Laid from CES 2009. The chick announcing that award is a geek herself and an incredibly hot one at that.

There is a pretty good chance we’d ditch whatever hardware we were holdin’ onto for a date with the lovely Meghan. As long as we got a Pre to replace that hardware, that is.
