Are you familiar with i-mates product line of mobile devices? Probably not but forget all that because at Mobile World Congress 2009, “i-mate will be unveiling its brand new product  – one which sees them break new grounds with a revolutionary mobile device.” If you don’t include the word “revolutionary” in your own press release, people assume your product is total crap and ignore you. Because revolutionary doesn’t mean revolutionary any more… it means “hey look at us”.

Here are some current i-mate products:

Those products might be called “Ultimate” but whatever they have coming up is probably more of an “Ultimatum” than anything else as the economy is closing in on more and more manufacturers. And since not many people know i-mate exists we can only guess what their current financial situation is.

A website called msmobiles.com picked up this information and it was apparently directly from i-mates PR Firm, mi liberty. I vote for an i-mate Android phone… anybody else?
