Launching your own application store featuring software from 3rd party developers is the obligatory mobile move these days. App Store, App Market, App Center… that’s all fun and games but did BlackBerry really just announce their Applicaton Store as “App World”?

According to IntoMobile, yes, they did. And in the process they just over a whole darned ocean of sharks looking up at their lameness, waiting for the blogosphere to crash down upon them with satirical, sarcastic posts and pummel them into the infested waters.

Apparently http://blackberry.com/appworld will be live later tonight and allow users to enter their email for updates as everything rolls out. But I don’t care. I boycott. Nobody should be forced to endure a name as lame as App World. I mean really… what did that beat out App-O-Rama and App Kingdom?
