iPhone To China Unicom In May?

Tech lovers in China have waited way too long for the Apple iPhone to land in their country. But who better to bring the iPhone to the most populated country in the world than the Chinese carrier with the most subscribers in that country? The Chinese carrier with the second most subscribers in the country.
China Unicom has apparently upset the iPhone heir apparent, China Telecom, and will be launching the iPhone no their network come May 17th! Although no official announcement has come from the carrier, their website is doing all the talking:
