Samsung Alias2 Morphing To Verizon
| by Rob on March 27th, 2009 |
The concept behind the Samsung Alias2 sounds so unique that it really shouldn’t be constricted a sequel name. Based on what we’re hearing and seeing from the Alias2, it is a flip phone with physical buttons. But here is where it gets interesting… the display of each individual button can change based on what feature of the phone you’re using!

If integrated properly, the idea stands to be pretty effective. It could become the “Optimus Maximus Keyboard” for phones. At least, that’s what it sounds like. If you’re not familiar with the Optimus Maximus it is a keyboard with buttons whose appearance can change based on what layout you want to use:

Sound familiar? We thought so.
Something like this is hard to grasp just be reading about it. Much like nobody could really predict if the BlackBerry Storm keyboard would be successful until they had the chance to use it, the Alias2 gives off the same vibe. Although the Alias2 isn’t nearly as anticipated, it is always fun to see innovation in the mobile world. Right on, Samsung!
