Samsung has just released the first press photo of the Samsung Instinct S30, initially rumored as the Samsung Instinct Mini, but no details have yet been released. Chances are this thing will get its superstar treatment at CTIA Wireless before the event concludes on Friday. It’s internal “Instinct Mini” moniker appears to be at least somewhat accurate – it is a slightly smaller, rounder and more polished version of the original Instinct which launched this time last year.

Samsung’s marketing campaign for the original Instinct pitted it head on with the iPhone and showed why it was better in nearly every category you can think of. This time around, the Instinct S30 will have plenty of other worthy competitors with which to compete – so what direction will Sammy and Sprint go this time? Especially with the Palm Pre facing a launch in the next 3 months, I wonder how many people are going to pick this up if the prices are similar?

Time will tell and I have a feeling we’ll find out plenty of answers tomorrow.
