BlackBerry Storm 2 Coming September!

by Rob on April 7th, 2009

vzw-blackberry-storm-leftWe’ve got good reason to believe the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be launching on Verizon Wireless this September. So what exactly comes with an extra number at the end of the phone’s name?

Rumor has it that the Storm 2 will include WiFi connectivity, a feature that many customers sorely missed. The most competitive phones on the market, including the iPhone and G1, both have WiFi and BlackBerry/Verizon were missing a key selling point. Not only will WiFi be added but we’re also hearing that the clickable touch screen, BlackBerry’s first ever touch screen, will see some significant improvements.

There are some other goodies in the works, too. We’re glad to see the Storm is getting revamped and rereleased as a 2nd Generation device. It may have some flaws and setbacks in Round 1 but it deserves to snag its fair share of the market as it is truly original. Lets hope RIM has some surprises coming our way, too!

I hope they’ll offer some trade in plan or discount plan for owners of 1st gen storms. They were the ones that tested the phone out and delt with its problems and made suggestions.
