SE CS5 & CS8 Headed for T-Mobile

Sony Ericsson seems to be pulling a little bit of a Motorola move of late with the CS5 and CS8. As the names might suggest, the devices are pretty similar, with the primary difference being that the CS5 comes with a 5 MP autofocus camera and the CS8 comes with a…well, you get the idea.

Besides camera differences the slider phones stay pretty similar, with only a few minor design changes. Judging by the colour choices it looks like SE is hoping the CS5 will be a hit in the youth market (unless I’m one of the few out there that doesn’t like walking around with a Glamour Red phone).
Both devices pack QVGA displays, stereo Bluetooth, Quadband and 3G support for T-Mobile’s oddball 1700/2100Mhz frequencies. Note of interest, it looks like the CS8 might be the fabled Android-powered device that SE has been talking about.

The CS5 will see daylight on July 8th while the CS8 be bright eyed and bushy tailed earlier, on June 24th.  No word on pricing yet, but keep your eyes glued on MobileRoar for more info.
