Visual Voicemail has gained a lot of popularity based on the iPhone of late, and with the G1 making use of it through 3rd party apps it makes sense that carriers get in on the fun.

Although there is no word yet on the pricing or devices that this new service will be available with there has been a release date of July 16th given. This release coincides closely with a number of devices, including the Sony Ericsson CS8 and CS5, Samsung t469 and t549, Rhodium, and Dash 3G, which makes us think we might either see it in a network-wide form, or on one of these new devices.
