Verizon’s Touch Pro Gets Much Needed Update
| by Elias Chiddicks on June 10th, 2009 |
Verizon has a pretty wicked reputation for crippling its device, and the Touch Pro was no exception upon its release. While Verizon promised the much need update since late last year it has finally now gotten around to making it available.

The update unlocks the GPS on the device for use with Google Maps for Windows Live Search, freeing users from the restricted and expensive VZ Navigator service. In addition to this users will finally get Visual Voicemail. The service will cost $3 per month from the Big Red. Verizon and HTC aren’t offering the update yet but Phone News is, so get your angstie self over there if you are a Touch Pro owner.
As for the rest of you crippled Windows Mobile/Verizon users, we have naught but pity for you.
