SE Satio Video Hands-On

We have two things for you today: I thorough and well-shot video of the Satio complete with thoughtful conclusions on the device; and a funny accent.

Accents aside, the hardware is looking pretty sleek, with few buttons on the front and a solid, bright touchscreen. On the side the buttons are made to function very closely as a camera, and the slider on the rear completes the camera mystique.

The interface of the Satio, a touched-up version (pun not intended) of Symbian’s S60, appears to be simple, smooth and attractive. With a nice tab layout, good array of keyboard options and great transitions it could be a serious contender in the marketplace, and a very important device for the struggling Sony Ericsson brand.

The problem? We can’t expect to see this device until the end of the year, and with competition heating up by the day in the consumer touchscreen market, the Satio could fall out of favor before its even out the door. As usual, a lot rides on where this gets released and at what price.

What about the internet? It wasn’t shown in this video at all! Also, what about email? Can you use msn messenger? Pretty lame video to be honest.
