Sprint Says No, Verizon Says Yes

Nothing like good-old competition when it comes to a product launch as big as the Blackberry Tour. Over the past few days carriers have been gradually giving up various details about the launch of the Tour, and while the picture looks rosey for Verizon users, Sprint’s are no doubt feeling a little left out about it all.

Once again, Twitter has provided us with news, as it is tend to do, with @Sprint giving us the “No” to the carefully phrased “PRE-ORDERS?” question. Seem like a bad move on Sprints part? Perhaps, especially considering how friendly Verizon is being about pre-orders….now.

Just a few days ago, current Verizon subscribers were being told that they would not be able to pre-order the Tour, the pre-order being limited to new customers only. Well, thanks for a massive outcry, the tables have turned, and now Verizon has agreed that anyone who wants one, can get one:

Existing customers will be able to upgrade or purchase the BlackBerry Tour on this site very soon. Please check back with us tomorrow.

Nice move Big Red.
