Alltel Launches Aggressive Back to School Plans

Alltel has just launched what amounts to a fairly aggressive back-to-school promotion for its remaining areas. No doubt spurred by some higher-up in Verizon (or AT&T for that matter), Alltel’s new plans let current users with My Circle add up to 4 new lines and have service free on those lines for three months. Users will still have to pay the $25 activation fee however.

Today through September 10, new and existing Alltel Wireless customers with “My Circle” plans, Smart Choice Packs, and Bundled Wireless Internet plans can add up to four lines to their primary account, with a $25 activation fee per line, and receive three months of free service on those new lines.

“Alltel has always placed a special emphasis on keeping families connected, and with this Back to School promotion, the entire family can talk, text or surf the Internet for less money and enjoy more flexibility in their wireless experience,” said Paul Bowersock, Senior Sales & Operations Leader for the Alltel Divesture Trust.

The promotion runs until September 10th, and while the deal is decent, we know it would just make that forth month that much more painful.
