This rumor is a biggy: sources from The Street are saying that Apple could release a tablet on Verizon Wireless and not only will the cost be greatly subsidized, but because the service plan will be for only data and not voice – the Tablet’s monthly cost will be a small fraction of a normal mobile bill.

And did I mention the tablet will be connected all the time and everywhere? No need to look for free Wi-Fi at places like Starbucks.. heck, you could be using your tablet in a car or taxi. Just make sure you’re not driving.

But the biggest news of this is Apple and Verizon finally wedging out AT&T who have firmly entrenched themselves in Apple’s American mobile strategy.
