Windows Phone: Demo Video

Microsoft doesn’t only want to improve their mobile operating system with the latest release – Windows Mobile 6.5 – they want to completely rebrand it. That is why it will never be called WinMo 6.5 but instead be called “Windows Phone”. Regardless of OS version it will always be branded as “Windows Phone”, even as new versions are released.
Probably a good idea, but one that should have been implemented much earlier and as time goes on, one that will be hard to maintain. The folks at the Inquirer were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the OS and were nice enough to capture some video for our enjoyment:
Kind of odd that Microsoft would make 6.5 – an incremental release – the first to carry the “Windows Phone” name. Why not wait until what would have been WinMo 7.0 for more significant changes?
