The Samsung Instinct brand of phones has a new name for its new powerhouse according to a “very trustful tipster” from PhoneArena. The Samsung Instinct HD would be the new name for what was once rumored as the Instinct2, Dash, M850 and Instinct s50. Add one more name to the hat and hopefully this one sticks.

Whatever name it has, we’re surely hoping the Instinct HD ends up being able to play and record HD videos as the name would suggest. Preliminary specifications include the following:

• 3.2-inch touchscreen
• 320×480 pixel resolution
• 5MP camera
• Auto Focus, Digtial Zoom
• MPEG4, H.264 video playback
• MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA audio playback
• 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery

We’ll keep you posted on which of these names emerge as the winner and of course, what specs will come with a phone worthy enough to be tagged “HD”… if that is indeed the name.
