Windows Cafe In Paris To Promote Windows Phone, Windows 7

by Rob on September 23rd, 2009

Its rare that we are forced to admit it but Microsoft has a LOT of exciting stuff going on. They’re within weeks of launching their Windows Phone brand based initially on Windows Mobile 6.5 with an App Store and MyPhone service and will soon upgrade to the more sweeping Windows Mobile 7 platform. They’ve also got the desktop successor to Vista ready to go (phew) which is Windows 7. Throw in Bing and coffee and we’re ready to roll!

The Windows Cafe is currently being set up in the heard of Paris and will be open for only a few weeks, starting on October 22nd. Visitors will be able to pop into the cafe to hang out and enjoy and test Microsoft products ranging from XBOX and desktop computers to Windows Phones by various manufacturers. I enjoyed the analysis of Robin Wauters from TechCrunch:

I’m dying to know what these will be called, though. Will we be able to sip a Bing Cappuccino? Devour A Windows Live Fruit Cocktail? Or have a taste of Blackberry Pie Service Pack 2?

You read our mind and made it sound smarter, Robin…. thanks!
