Apple Updates Its Mouse, Screens, Computers, No iPhone?

Well, we guess it’s okay if Apple takes a break from updating the iPhone line, but still, they might want to adopt a process that updates the device more than once a year from here on out. Competition is getting tougher, and the last update (recall 3G to 3GS) was none to breathtaking a step forward. It could also be that Apple doesn’t want to bother upgrading anything until it can apply a proper name change to indicate any improvments, whereas the computer side of things can motor on unhindered by names changes.

In case you aren’t in the loop today, Apple has released the world’s first multi-touch mouse, the so-called Magic Mouse, and updated the Macbook line to LED-backlit displays, multi-touch trackpads and built in batteries capable of seven hours. Don’t forget about the iMacs either, which in addition to a similar LED-backlit feature also gained some additional screen sizes, namely 21.5 and 27 inches. Nice updates to be sure, but what about the iPhone?
