BlackBerry Storm 2 Gets Shafted On October 28th
| by Rob on October 26th, 2009 |
The BlackBerry Storm 2 is getting the complete shaft from Verizon Wireless and its fall from grace – if you could ever call it graceful – is caused largely in part to Android. Rumor has it that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be launching on October 28th but we haven’t heard a peep about it from Verizon, although Engadget found this:

Verizon Wireless has even posted an emulator so you can play with the BlackBerry Storm 2 Emulator ahead of its launch. You probably didn’t know that… because Verizon is being totally hush hush on the Storm 2!

And this isn’t a good “hush-hush” this is a “sweep it under the rug and let the Droid take over” hush hush. But there might be a few BlackBerry fans who prefer the Storm 2 over anything else – are you out there? Can you hear me? ECHO ECHo ECho Echo echo e-c-h-o…

It might be to RIM’s good, if Verizon were to hold off on launching the Storm 2. Android devices are going to eclipse the competition (WinMo, Symbian, and Blackberry), like the Iphone 3GS did to the Palm Pre.

Saw a commercial for the BB Storm 2 just this morning.
