When I first saw this commercial for the LG eXPo phone for AT&T I thought it hit the nail right on the head. The iPhone and Android Phones are awesome, but what about incredible and unique hardware awesomeness? Who has ever heard of a projector phone before?

And that’s really just the MAIN selling point… there are PLENTY more:

• 1 GHz Snapdragon processor
• 5MP camera
• 3.2-inch WVGA display
• fingerprint scanner
• sliding QWERTY keyboard

AT&T is now selling the phone and you can get it for $199 on a 2-year contract. Without the projecter. That’ll cost you $179 and IT ISN’T EVEN AVAILABLE YET! How they can air commercials based on a feature that the phone doesn’t yet have the ability to do? I have no clue…

In any case, if you were planning on getting the LG eXPo for its projector awesomeness, I’d like to project the opinion that you should wait until – you know – you can actually buy that part.
