Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Pureness Gets Handled

by Elias Chiddicks on December 31st, 2009

The life of the wealthy gadget/attention whoring buyer is a difficult one, we surmise. First there were all those expensive Nokia’s, and that was complicated enough what with all those confusing numbers (8800, 7070, 7500, etc.). Then Motorola got in on the action with the Aura and that brilliant circular screen, and now Sony Ericsson has shown up with the latest fashion forward phone.

Its got all the makings of the perfect exclusive phone too: no particularly advanced features, no particularly innovative UI, a ridiculous pricetag (+$1000 USD) and that one showpiece that makes the whole thing work.

Check out that transluscent screen. Yeah, not useful at all, it might even hinder usage, but damn it is cool looking. Engadget agrees, and they have gotten their hands on one for a pretty nice bunch of photos. Interestingly, and unlike the Aura, Engadget reports that the rest of the body could belong to a pay-as-you-go level phone, being made up of cheap plastics. Tut tut SE, have we learned nothing?
