Default iPhone 3G vs Glyde

This month my contract expires, and I was almost certainly going to upgrade to the Glyde, but I just heard about the new iPhone.

Here are the pros of each vs the other for me:

Glyde:
$250
Smaller
Better Quality Calls (No reviews if there is better call quality on the new iPhones, but the old ones were bad)
Less Breakable
Physical Keyboard
Make any song a ringtone (that verizon clip thing, dunno if there's something like that for AT&T?)

iPhone
$200
8 or 16 gb built-in Vs the 2 gb I could buy to put in the Glyde
More Responsive Touch Screen (Works better and less laggy, plus on the web and with pictures etc more touch options to navigate)
Apps (IM, Games, etc coming out with the SDK)
Screen is more scratch resistant (glass vs glyde's plastic)
Wifi (This is a big +, I'm going to college this fall)
AT&T is the suggested carrier in the area where I'm going to college
Internet has way more than basic HTML capability (Java and Youtube at least, I think)

AT&T kind of sucks where I live now, but I'mma be gone this fall... I'm really considering making the switch, especially because (though both have this) since the iPhone has calendars and notes, plus the wifi (Glyde doesn't have) I wouldn't have to carry my laptop around when not going to class.
The 3G is good, but I don't like using minutes for net, and I'd probably turn off 3G and edge w/ the iphone.

Anyone have suggestions or big points about this?
