OK, I voted It Depends. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead. After having it, I can see where it failed horribly. All of the stuff that it does very well can be had on the iPod Touch. The phone fails miserable and 3G and battery life really aren't ready for the big leagues. So, if they can fix the numerous flaws that plague it (and maybe expand to another carrier), then it might dominate (like making iTunes available for the pc really helped). Otherwise, it could be what the mac is to computing and just a niche product.

They iPhone is all hype. It can walk the walk but it surely can't talk the talk. It is really over exaggerated..."oh the iPhone can do this, it can do that". Well, in reality, many phones can do what the iPhone can. Imagine a phone without multimedia messaging, then you have the iPhone.

Any phone is better. We get a lot of former iPhone customers here at Verizon Wireless.

I hear ya. I'm just glad to be back and the Dare has truly impressed me as it DOES work great as a phone. The iPhone didn't know how to operate properly as a phone, so get an iPod Touch if you want all of the cool features of the iPhone.
