We've heard the rumors and we're not waiting to put up a place for Verizon lovers and Thunder hopefuls to congregate. The news is too good and the sources are too reliable (Thanks BGR).
We'll put our foot in our mouths and delete this forum if we have to, but it'll be up unless BlackBerry out and out denies the whole damn thing.
I’m a fairly new Blackberry user…got the Pearl free at work…now I don’t think I’ll ever be able to use anything BUT a Blackberry! Dang technology! I was actually planning to get the Curve that Verizon just released, but a co-worker showed me the Thunder yesterday! I’m going hang on to my Pearl just a bit longer now (after all, I did get it for free)!
I can't wait for the thunder, almost went and got the pearl the other day...but had too much time left on my tmobile contract and couldn't afford the 200 dollar cancellation fee. Guess i will wait until i get my orders in october before i switch over to verizon. But the wait is definately going to kill me.
Well BGR doesn't have a drop date, but the day draws near (look below). But with the obvious going on tomorrow at 10am PST with El Steve-O and the WWDC. One has to believe that the #1 US market share holder...uhhhh that would be RIM... would have to be hot on the heals of Apple.
Great info to come here. My fiance is trying to talk me into going over to Verizon from T-Mobile (I have the Curve). This could be a great incentive to make the switch, give my daughter the Curve and get the "Thunder"
A couple of questions. I don't know much about Verizon... How is data speed compared to T-Mobile's EDGE network?
Hate to burst the bubble. But for now it looks like it's only going to be CDMA (Verizon) within the US. If you unlock it, you won't be able to use it on the other carriers here. Outside the US, you can use it with anything. Weird...
I wish every phone just packed in all the network connectivity so you could use it on every carrier. The worst thing in the world is seeing the sickest new phone that you really, really, really want and realizing there is no way you'll ever be able to have it on your current carrier.
Early termination fees are a bitch. And, most people put their choice in carrier above their choice in handsets. Meaning, they'll get the best possible phone on their current carrier. There are the "game changing" handsets that have people switching carriers JUST because they want the phone. The iPhone on AT&T is one of them.
I am one of ther personnel who will be switching from my current provider (Tmobile) just so I can have my hands on the Thunder. Now if we can just get dates and prices I can start budgeting
