Default Pricing is confusing

When I bought my Glyde, the retail price they showed at the Verizon store was $300. I never really pay attention to their retail prices because there is always some type of discount you receive. Typical of Verizon, they show inflated prices then try to make you feel better with different discounts. I think out the door, I ended up paying about $190 for the phone and the Body Glove hard case for it. Then I was given a form to fill out to get a $50 rebate. So all told, I probably paid about $100 for it, if you take off the case and the rebate, this was of course with a contract renewal. I highly recomend the Body Glove hard case. It makes the phone a little more bulky but looks and feels really good and most importantly appears to do a great job of protecting the phone.

The glyde without a 2 yr contract is around 479... maybe a little less at a retail store.

Might as well extend your contract another 2 years if you like Verizon, in my opinion.
