Default Vibrate & Ring option? Shortcut question, extended battery question

I'm up for an update this june, and I'm pretty set on the Glyde. I just have a few questions:

My current Razr has no option for vibrating and ringing. I like the convenience of the vibrating first (so I don't disturb other people) but having it ring after it vibrates a few times if I don't notice it.. just checking to make sure this phone has this option, and it works, right?

Is the customization for the shortcuts pretty excessive? I'm hoping to put notes, voice memo, text messaging, email, web, contacts shortcuts -- these are all viable options, I'm assuming?

Has anyone gotten the Glyde extended battery from Samsung? If so, does it really help out the battery life, and how much heavier/bigger does it make it?

Oh, also, does it have built in AOL/MSN Messenger options, so I can respond to messages easily, or is it just in the form of text messages? (This won't be a determining thing for me, just wondering)

Thanks a lot!

P.S. One more thing -- you aren't required to use a predictive typing, where it always tries to guess what you want to say, are you? I would much rather just type it out.
Thanks again!

I am not sure about the vibrating and ringing question, but will do my best to answer the rest.

I don't have the phone yet but after watching the review for the phone I can answer most of your questions.

You can substitute anything on the shortcut menu and arrange them in any order.

It does not have built in AOL/MSN messenger options, you can only send text messages.

No it does not have the predicitive typing either, I think that is just for cell phones with no keyboards.

Here is the review for any further questions,

Smile notes shortcut

ok this is sent from my gglyde. first thing is i can't do everything in the browser you might expect. Shortcuts...I cannot put in every shortcut I want. Notepad is not available on shortcut list. the other tools are. recommend you spend a few minutes at the store looking at the shortcuts list to see if is what you expect. e.g. If you expect to put specific contacts like MOmmy on the shortcut menu I don't think you can. On prescriptive typing if I understand what you mean it is way cool. If the slide lid is open you use the keyboard. If the lid is closed then when texting you have 'word' option available. it allows you to use the touch keypad to have the phone guess the words. you don't like it? cool don't use it. ifind it 98 percent accurate though it did get confused on 'vermiculture' ok i forget what else you asked

Ok yall, thanks for the help.

I really wanted a Notes shortcut, but I looked in the store and you're right.

I'll probably still end up getting this... don't really want to wait for the BB Thunder and not really liking the LG Dare coming out, so..

Thanks!

As for the extended battery... I have the Voyager and assuming the battery situation is similar, I'll tell you right now that MultiMedia focused people who do a lot of web browsing and such will DEFINITELY want to get the extended battery.

Okay, thanks Rob.
Does it make your Voyager much bigger or heavier, or is it negligible?
