Default Glyde vs Voyager

I'm going into a Verizon store this Friday to purchase either the Samsung Glyde or the LG Voyager, but I'm not sure which one so I was hoping for some feedback on the phones.

I was at the store yesterday playing around with both phones. The Glyde's touch screen seemed to lag and the buttons on the touch pad were so small that I would hit the wrong thing a lot, where as the Voyager's touch pad was a lot more precise.

I've also read up on a lot of reviews on both phones and read a lot ( and I'm talking A LOT ) of bad reviews about the Glyde, including bad camera quality ( for being a 2.0 megapixel ), horrible microphone ( caller on other end could hear more background noise or barely hear the person because it sounded fuzzy ), and short battery life ( for not too much usage ). However, the people with good reviews on this phone had really good things to say about it. Of course, the Voyager has its fair share of negative reviews, but not nearly as much as the Glyde.

So whether or not you like the Samsung Glyde, please give me your honest opinion. Thanks in advance!

PS. I think the Glyde looks so much cuter than the Voyager but I'm not sure if the look is worth the risk and frustration I might endure for the next year of having this phone. I'm not a fan of returning and/or exchanging items. I guess you could call it lazy, LOL. I prefer to get what I want and like what I get the first time around.

Thumbs up

I had the same problem. I made my mind up that i would get the Voyager because my friend had it and i used it all the time and i knew i could trust it. I didnt really trust the Glyde because ive never seen one before and i read ALOT about the two phones for like two weeks and its had some pretty bad reviews.

When i walked into the Verizon store to get my Voyager, i saw them both on display and thought i should mess with them a little bit. I messed with the Glyde and realized it was a really good phone. It was a lot smaller than the Voyager and its touch screen was really easy.

I was in that store for an hour trying to decide between the two. I ended up choosing the Glyde. The one thing i didnt like about it at fisrt was the keyboard. I felt like it was cramped and hard, but after a couple of hours i got used to it. My friend with the Voyager liked it better than the Voyager too.

BUT!!!!..........thats just my opinion.

I have the glyde and I love it. The glyde is smaller wich I like instead of having a bulky voyager in my pocket. On the glyde you can increase the sensitivity of the touch screen to your likeing. The voyager also has a 2 mega pixel camera if I remember correctly. The camera on the glyde is fine for me. Overall I like the glyde better.

Update: I am loving my Glyde! =] Sure, there are a few kinks here and there ( unresponsive touch screen, random rs'ing of the phone, etc ) but they're tiny details that aren't big inconveniences. Although I probably wouldn't have minded the bulkiness of the Voyager, I'm glad I decided to go with the Glyde. I've had it for almost a month now and I finally cut out the UPC off my box to send in the mail-in rebate. But I can definitely say this phone isn't for the easily-irritated or impatient.

I've only played with them in the store. But I got irritated with the glyde's touch screen really quickly.

Like four of my friends have Voyagers and they love them. I found them a lot more fun and easier to use as well! I vote Voyager!!!!
