Prices and sales.

Hi, I would like to know if there is any information about how much will be the p rice of the HTC Dream and in which countries will it be for sales.

I am from México and I can get the Gphone by eBay buying it on US and then sending it to home, but I would like to know if will be like iPhone that only worked with one company and was worthless here in México.

Also, there will be many models or just one?

As far as I know, the HTC Dream is a T-Mobile exclusive phone. However, Google's Android phone OS is not exclusive to T-Mobile and should appear on phones from every major carrier all over the world as time goes on.

Google is not actually making it's own phone (that we know about) but rather an OS that other manufacturers and carriers may use...

Since it is an open source OS, I would think that it should be easy to unlock it to use with an carrier that utilizes a sim card.

From the rumers I have heard, there will be one initial phone released mid october, and then several more early 09.

This is good news. Iphone is rellay cool, but Android it's great, Open Source will make the difference.

I really hope they will bring out a model that is simlock-free and just "for sale". Over here and in Belgium there are iphones for sale without a 'phone plan' also, would be nice to see Android go that road also. After all, Open Source is all about choice, and having the choice between 1 phone provider is not much of a choice...
