Default Dropped my Dare on the pavement

OK, a few days ago I was taking the Dare out of my pocket while walking across a parking lot. This is apparently much more complex than chewing gum while walking, as once the phone had cleared my pocket, it immediately slipped through my fingers and went tumbling to the hard, cold pavement below. Worse, it hit so hard it bounced and flipped and tumbled several more feet and I had to go chasing after it, cursing all the while.

So... what happened? Well, apart from some very minor dings and scratches to the outside corners... nothing. The screen is fine, nothing is cracked or loose, and it works just as well as ever. Kudos LG on making a tough little phone!

Next time I might not be so lucky, though... anyone know if it's possible to purchase the insurance on the phone long after buying the phone itself? Now I'm thinking the insurance might be a good idea...

I'm pretty sure you CAN buy insurance after the fact but, for obvious reasons, I assume you'd have to do this in-store.

Good to see the Dare is sturdy... BGR recently broke his BlackBerry Bold when he dropped it only a couple feet to the ground. Here is what happened to THAT device:

If you have time, snap us a picture and lets see the damage done to the Dare! I'm happy your phone held up though, breaking phones is such a pain in the ass... but when you have a device that looks as sexy as the Dare it makes it that much more "painful"

The dare is tough. There was another story on this forum from a while ago about it surviving a drop.
