Bluetooth bluetooth navigation

I recently had a new JVC head unit put in my car with bluetooth capability and it makes and receives calls just fine. Does anyone know why the bluetooth feature won't work while using the navigation? It will work thru my headset, but I would rather have it come thru the car radio, same with the music on my phone. Is this simply something that can be solved with a software/firmware update, or will the Dare not ever be able to do this??

I don't think you can use the navigator and make calls at the same time, with or without bluetooth. In your situation, I can see how it would be useful, though!

You can make a call when using navigator on the main screen there is a call button at the lower left to place a call. I don't like it but it's there. It would also be nice if you could play music and us the navigator at the same time.

I think VZ Navigator needs to be updated to keep up with the touch screen phones. Even the scrolling is outdated.

Yes these problems are with the software not the phone. And I wished it would take out the trash.

I know what you are referring to. It completely depends on the system you are using, not the phone. My stereo speakers work great with navigator while some of my bluetooths do not. Check the system (in the car) you are using. It cannot be fixed with an update since the phone isn't the problem.

Default navigation thru blue tooth

I was actually referring to being able to hear the navigation instructions thru my bluetooth stereo, rather than thru the phone. I am able to hear the navigation instructions when my phone is connected to my bluetooth headset, but not when it's connected to my bluetooth radio in my car. Does anyone have any info on that.

Exactly! That is what I am referring to. Your bluetooth headset is capable of hearing the instructions while your car's isn't. This is the car's software problem, not the phone. Not all bluetooth devices will allow you to hear navigation through them.
