Chat Throwing in the towel!!

As much as I like the design and look of this phone, I'm returning it today. My 30 days are coming to an end, and I don't want to be stuck with this failure.http://mobileroar.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif

The list of reasons is quite long. Way to many menus to have to navigate through. The pre-loaded icon on the screens are not the ones I would have there. Why have a icon for the menu, when simply touchung the screen brings it up. For me, My Pics, would get more use. I know it's on the front, but usually I have the flip open when I want to show pics to friends. I don't use VZ Nav, have no real need for it, and it's available in the menu. No speed dial feature, call logs have to be deleted one at a time.

The touch response is a guessing game, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. At times when I'm trying to scroll, it takes it as a tap, other times when trying to tap, it thinks I want to scroll. It has gotten me so frustrated that i want to slam it against the nearest wall.

I had seriously hoped that Verizon had worked on their music player, but alas, no. Still the same old piece of cr** that came on the first gen enV.http://mobileroar.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif I have NEVER had such problems loading music to a devise in my life. Tags and album art as all screwed up. Way too much hassle.

What's up with the fact that you can't down load ringtones directly to the phones, but have to go to the website. Come on Verizon, get your act together. This phone could have been serious competition to Apple, but Verizon failed with the follow through.

As much as I like Verizon's service, their phones are the worst phones on the market. I realize this is due in fact to Verizon's proprietary software. I wish now that I had not renewed my contract, and waited it out till January and get the phone that for me is best. Oh well, I'll have to ride this contract out for the next 2 years.

Please understand , these are my opinions, and we all have a right to our own. http://mobileroar.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

Hey! I actually just ordered this phone due to its small complaint rate...and then I get on and I see a complaint! Anyway, what were the main issues with the phone? How does all the apps/media center work? These are all of my questions.

Even as a Verizon Wireless employee, I know very few answers about this phone!

I have to take my share of the blame here as well. I fell for the dazzle and flash. I know better than to get the first anything, but jumped in with both feet. I'm not putting a lot of stock into the Storm, I want to look at it first.

Those are the main problems I had with the phone. It just isn't the phone for me. The apps work fairly well, if the touch responses correctly. The available apps are severely limited. The only music app available is the recognition app. Verizon did send out an email that they were working on the app for downloading ringtones, but gave no time frame, just "in the near future". For me, it's not the right phone, for what I want and need from it. It maybe the perfect phone for others.

You'll have to forgive me Nick, but right now Verizon is a bitter taste in my mouth. Even though I'm back on my old phone, the first enV which is no longer made, they still want to charge me $175 to drop that line. I would understand the charge if I had kept the new device, but it's a 2yr old phone.

Again, please understand I take my share of the blame, and any comment here is not directed at anyone in particular. I hope you the best of luck with the Krave. Who knows, it may well be the perfect phone for you.

Well, I will continue to keep my Voyager (which I have now) and with the new *228 option 3 feature (where you can simultaneously switch between devices within a few minutes, I should have no problem if has some issues...it's all good.

I have said this about the Dare, and I'll say it about this phone: I am sure they are working on it. This could be an industry leading phone if Verizon wakes up a little bit and smells the coffee.
