When replying to a message on my Samsung Omnia, in my 'Sent items', (next to the recipient), instead of having a normal envelope icon, it looks to me like a multimedia icon with a red 'i' over the top signifying information or something.
I was jst wondering what this means. is it state that i have entred a converstaon with this contact, or is it trying to tell me smething?
It's a number "1." It means the message you have sent is part of a conversation (ie. you hit "reply" rather than create a new message.
This function links all messages, so if you delete the inbox message it will also delete all corresponding messages from the sent folder, that is you won't delete one message but will delete all those as part of the conversation.
So if you exchanged texts with someone ten times by reply, it will only show as one entry in the inbox, but in the sent folder it will show as ten messages with the red "1" icon.
If you delete the inbox entry it will remove all your ten replies from the sent folder.
To avoid this you can edit the registry using Total Commander and get back the old style inbox without conversation threading.
I assume you're talking about getting rid of the threaded messaging.
Google omniathread.cab
I personally prefer threaded messaging. Without it I would have to delete all the text messages individually, that would be a pain.
With the threaded messaging I can delete the entire conversation at once, and it keeps my inbox cleaner.
